With a little over 20 years of experience in Training and L&D, its clear Edd has a passion for people and learning. Edds skills lie in the ability to take the seemingly and often complex topics of IT and simplify them to a human level, helping people grasp concepts, understand them easier and of course use those learnings to enhance and attain their personal and corporate goals.
Edds journey began all the way back in 2003 when he was asked to build training and enablement programmes for the newly launched Blackberry Smartphones to the UK market, from here Edd went on to work in a training and L&D capacity for some of the worlds largest technology and IT companies, including Samsung, LG, HP and Microsoft.
While Edds background has always been technology, the skill is bringing that technology to life. Edds natural passion for presenting, creating engaging, exciting and enjoyable sessions are some of the reasons that Edd has come to be one of the best known and respected trainers in the channel marketplace. Edd once even hosted his own very very late-night show on the QVC shopping channel called ‘High Tech Toys & Electronics’! So, whether deliveries are to rooms of hundreds of people or to camera, there are no situations Edd can’t handle.
In 2022 Edd and his Business Partner and former colleague Jen Wilson decided to set up and found ‘Illuminate Learning’. We have all been there before, had training sessions that were dull, unengaging and well, just plain boring. Edd and Jen wanted to create a company that does things differently, with a strong focus on engaging dynamic training – to make learning fun and not a chore. This with the inclusion of amazing customer service are just a couple of reasons Edd and Jen have driven Illuminate Learning to be the go-to choice for Microsoft and many channel partners and distributers around the world.
Edd is driven by a motivation to help people feel confident with technology, to remove the apprehension that can often surround new or complex ideas, and to help people achieve their best.
